Trophy Hunting

Africa awaits ...
Eagle Safaris is operated by
Simon Leach, a fourth generation hunter and conservationist.
Simon’s great-grandfather, Harold Trollope, was instrumental in the
development of world famous conservation areas such as the Addo Elephant
Park in the Cape where Harold rounded up the elephants from the
neighbouring farms on horse back and drove them into the park.
It was in the Malelane section of the Kruger National Park where Harold
was asked to thin out the lion population to ensure the survival of the
other species.
Over a period of three years Harold shot over 400 lions as well as
numerous leopard. It was on one of these hunts that Harold’s father in-law
was taken by a leopard, a book detailing his pioneering life has recently
been published.
Eagle Safaris continues this proud tradition and draws on the skills and
expertise gained over the years
